2003 EVENT ORGANISER'S COMMENTS
Once again may I say a big thank you to everybody concerned with this year's 24 Hour and a special thank you to our new volunteers who responded to the appeal for helpers and there is always room for more!
The weather wasn't as kind to us this year and, in spite of the heavy downpour of rain and the severe drop in temperature, I was surprised the number of riders who kept going. It has been a difficult year, with the dreaded road works and all the last minute problems which weren't sorted out until Thursday (24/7). There were times when I wanted to give up but after reading the letters and e-mails received from riders, praising the marshals and the feeding teams it makes it all worth while.
Yet again - thanks to Rod and David Goodfellow for producing the results plus rider profiles so promptly. David has provided us with more excellent photos of the event which are now on the website.
Once again a BIG THANK YOU to everybody.
